All foreign flights land at Paro International Airport

Druk Air and Bhutan Airlines are both based in Bhutan. All foreign flights land at Paro International Airport, and Bhutan has three domestic airports:
● Bumthang (Central Bhutan)
● Yongphula (Eastern Bhutan)
● Gelephu (south Bhutan)

Druk Air

Druk Air has flights from Bangkok, Thailand, Kathmandu, Nepal, Delhi, India, Guwahati, India, Bagdogra, India, Dhaka, Bangladesh, Singapore, Bodhgaya, India, Mumbai, India, Kolkatta, India, and Singapore.

Druk Air has daily flights to and from Bangkok. And for the rest of the sectors, it’s twice or three times a week. For the most up-to-date schedule, please visit Druk Air’s website at www.drukair.com.bt since it is subject to change owing to weather conditions and normal maintenance. They may also add additional flights to meet peak season demand.

Druk Air Baggage Allowance:
On Economy or Coach class, Druk Air permits one cabin bag and 30 kg (two pieces) of checked baggage. Business class passengers are permitted an additional 10kg of check-in weight, for a total of 40 kgs.

Bhutan Airlines

Bhutan Airlines currently operates daily flights into Bangkok via Kolkatta, India, and back. Except on Fridays, it also operates daily flights to Kathmandu, Nepal.
Bhutan Airlines’ fares are identical to those of Druk Air, while they may be slightly lower at times. The baggage allowance policy is the same as that of Druk Air. Remarks:

  • All prices are for adults and must be paid in US dollars.
  • Flight rates are subject to daily fluctuation.
  • Children under the age of 12 are eligible for a 25% reduction off the base fare. A student ID card is required as verification.
  • Students aged 25 and under can receive a 20% discount off the base fare, but you must present a student ID from an institution.
