Drive to Thimphu, Bhutan’s dynamic capital, stopping at Tamchog Lhakhang, the Iron Bridge Temple.
Visit Buddha Dordenma, National Memorial Chorten, and explore Thimphu’s craft markets.
Overnight: Thimphu
Cross Dochula Pass (3,100m) for sweeping Himalayan views.
Explore 108 Druk Wangyel Chortens, Punakha Dzong, and Chimi Lhakhang (Fertility Temple).
Return to Thimphu to finalize your trek preparations.

Drive: Thimphu to Shana (Trek Start)

Follow the Paro Chhu River through pine, oak, and spruce forests with occasional yak herders’ camps.
Overnight: Camp at Soi Thangthanka
Distance: ~19 km | Time: 5–6 hrs | Altitude: 4,080m
A gradual climb leads to Jangothang Base Camp, set beneath Mt. Jomolhari and Jichu Drake.
Overnight: Camp at Jangothang
Take a rest or choose a short hike to Jomolhari Glacier or Tshophu Lake.
Interact with nomadic herders and soak in stunning alpine scenery.

Cross Nyele La Pass (4,700m) for panoramic views of distant Himalayan peaks.
Descend toward Lingshi Dzong, a fortress overlooking the valley.

Conquer the trek’s highest pass, Yale La (4,940m), rewarded with spectacular views of Bhutan’s snow-clad mountains.
Descend to Shodu, following river valleys.

Follow the Thimphu Chhu River through rhododendron forests and scenic waterfalls.
Overnight: Camp at Barshong
Distance: ~15 km | Time: 5–6 hrs | Altitude: 3,600m
Hike through pristine forests before reaching the peaceful campsite at Dolam Kencho.
Overnight: Camp at Dolam Kencho

Descend to Dodina, where your driver awaits.
Transfer to Thimphu for a well-earned rest and warm shower.

Return to Paro and hike to the legendary Tiger’s Nest Monastery (Taktsang), a true spiritual highlight.
Evening: Enjoy a Traditional Hot Stone Bath to relax after your trek.

Enjoy your final breakfast in Bhutan before transferring to Paro International Airport.
